Vaughan Lamar Garrett was born on May 12, 1964 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of inventor and founder of Garrett Metal Detectors, Dr. Charles Garrett. Vaughan has studied music for over 40 years, and is a graduate of the University of North Texas. He was born again at 10 and baptized at 24. Vaughan has been the recipient of this anointed music from early on in his life.

Bryan Alan Stewart was born on June 20, 1974 in Lancaster, South Carolina. He is the son of pastor and professor, Dr. Steve Stewart. Bryan has been a student of the Word for over 30 years. He was born again and baptized at the age of six. Vaughan and Bryan met in church in 1993 and sang in the church choir together at Second Baptist Church in Garland, Texas and thus became a friendship and songwriting partnership.

Vaughan Garrett and Bryan Stewart met at Second Baptist Church of Garland, Texas in 1993 where their involvement in the choir ushered in a one of a kind friendship. Their musical passion combined with faith became the foundation of collaboration. In 1993 Bryan shared some lyrics with Vaughan who then wrote the melody on the piano and a beautiful song, "Love Is Meant To Be" was recorded. It was obvious then that this was not your average run of the mill friendship but a very special and anointed union. In one-accord the two began working on musical projects fueled by vision and were altogether like-minded. From 1995 to 2000 they wrote and recorded numerous songs and envisioned three separate albums. Focusing on the extensive compositions was exhilarating and never tiring.

 

In 2001 Bryan and his wife Tammy, who was carrying the second of their three children, moved to South Carolina. Over the next 13 years Bryan had the opportunity to play drums and direct the choir at Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lancaster, SC. Vaughan continued the work of editing and mastering the recordings and received many new songs. He married Angela on September 7, 2008 and they have two children, David and Sydney.

In April 2014 the Holy Spirit told Vaughan, "It is time" and with no hesitation he contacted Bryan and they were reunited in Dallas, Texas on June 13, 2014. Bryan spent several days with Vaughan and his family. The two went into the studio on June 14, 2014 and did what they were created and called to do. That night, with the studio in full operation and recording Vaughan and Bryan explored the heavens together for the first time in 14 years. Upon playback it was evident: God had blessed them with this music and reconciled them for "a time such as this"

 Bryan returned to his wife, Tammy, and their three kids, Gaige, Trinity, and Jayden in SC and shared the session cds with them and immediately started planning the move back to Texas. From that moment God's Hand was clearly evident at work in so many ways as the 1600 mile journey unfolded. August 1, 2014 Bryan and his family pulled into their new home in Rowlett, TX and were welcomed by Vaughan and his family.
